Virgin Voyages welcomes Valiant Lady to the fleet

Virgin Voyages has layed out the red carpet for its second ‘Lady ship’, Valiant Lady, with the announcement of her 2022 European sailings. Valiant Lady’s MerMaiden sailings will launch from Portsmouth in March before she heads to her homeport in Barcelona in May.

Virgin Voyages, the lifestyle and travel brand launched by Sir Richard Branson, has officially introduced its latest Lady ship – Valiant Lady.

This March, Valiant Lady will sashay her way around the UK, gracing the ports of London International Cruise Terminal (Tilbury) and Liverpool ahead of her limited bookable MerMaiden voyage from Portsmouth before she docks at her homeport in Barcelona.

Speaking of the arrival of Valiant Lady to the UK, Tom McAlpin, CEO of Virgin Voyages, said: “Following the success of our first lady ship, Scarlet Lady, we are so excited to debut Valiant Lady this March and begin our European tour. The lifting of UK travel restrictions has already shown promising signs with 70% uplift in bookings since December, and we can’t wait to welcome Sailors on-board!”

Virgin Voyages will be showcasing its newest lady in Tilbury and Liverpool, where fans are invited to wave her in before she kicks off her European sailings from Portsmouth in March and her new homeport in Barcelona in May. Valiant Lady’s epic sailings have curated itineraries that are accessible for those in Europe wanting to cruise differently, the Virgin way.

Following the globally celebrated debut of her sister ship Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady features an impressive 1,330 cabins, 78 RockStar Quarters and two iconic Massive Suites, which boast their own turntables and private hot tub.

With 86% of cabins offering a balcony and 93% with ocean views, the cabins feature an elevated design to bring a warmer energy and more sophisticated feel. They also offer increased drawers and storage space, perfect for longer itineraries.

The brand’s newest vessel also boasts first-class entertainment, state-of-the-art health and wellness facilities, and exquisite dining experiences curated by Michelin-starred chefs, giving sailors – yes guests on board Virgin Voyages are calles sailors – the ultimate dose of vitamin-sea.

Valiant Lady has curated itineraries featuring longer port stays and overnighters in some of Europe’s most idyllic islands and effervescent cities, including Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza.

All Virgin Voyages ships have the strongest protocols in place to keep both sailors and crew safe before, during and after sailings. These include pre-boarding testing, vaccine requirements, special air filtration, reduced capacity, and rigorous cleaning.

For a limited time, sailors can book any voyage on any ship and get 20% off along with a $100 toward their prepaid bar tab, plus an extra 10% off if they pay in full.
