MSC Cruises confirms UK sailings through to April 2023

This summer all 19 ships in MSC Cruises’ fleet will be at sea. By the end of the year this number will increase to 21 ships as the line adds MSC Seascape and MSC World Europa to the fleet. During summer 2022 MSC Virtuosa will sail from the UK. In October the ship will be joined by MSC Preziosa who will sail in Northern Europe until April 2023. 

MSC Cruises has revealed the details of its winter 2022/2023 programme with an incredible choice of 21 modern, elegant ships sailing to more than 190 of the world’s most sought-after destinations in 85 different countries. In the coming months MSC Cruises will launch two new and innovative ships for the upcoming winter season. The first being the much-anticipated MSC World Europa. Not only is this the company’s first LNG-powered ship but it is also a brand-new class of ships that introduces a completely new cruising platform so that guests sailing on this spectacular ship will enjoy a completely redefined cruise experience unlike anything at sea today.

MSC World Europa will be based in Doha for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Following this the new ship will offer cruises calling Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas (United Arab Emirates) Doha (Qatar) and Dammam (Saudi Arabia) starting with a mini-cruise on 20 December before resuming a regular schedule of 7-night cruises.

MSC Seascape will become the second new ship to launch next winter. The line’s second innovative Seaside EVO class ship will offer two different 7-night itineraries from PortMiami (U.S) starting from 11 December. This will further enrich MSC Cruises’ already strong offering in the Caribbean.

UK sailings on board MSC Virtuosa and Preziosa

MSC Cruises, which was the first cruise line to restart operations sailing from Southampton confirms that MSC Preziosa will sail from the UK from October 2022. This news follows the earlier announcement that MSC Virtuosa will offer an extended UK season.

MSC Virtuosa is set to perform 23 sailings between April and November 2022. The ship, which arrives in the UK on the 29 April will do a selection of itineraries from two night mini cruises taking in the popular St Peter Port, to 12 nights exploring the Baltics or 14 nights exploring the best beaches in the Western Med. The additional four cruises that have been added to the schedule will visit the Mediterranean taking in sights including Palma de Mallorca, East Atlantic visiting Portugal and Spain, a Canaries cruise perfectly placed for families to explore in October half term and a repositioning to Genoa to finish the season. MSC Preziosa will arrive in Southampton on the 3rd October. The ship will offer the new 7-night winter itinerary which was introduced this season. During the voyage guests visit five of Europe’s most popular cities – Hamburg (Germany), Zeebrugge for Bruges and Brussels (Belgium), Rotterdam (the Netherlands), Le Havre for Paris (France) Southampton for London (UK).
