MSC CRUISES postpones the restart of MSC Magnifica until 14 February 2021

Following the additional lockdown measures introduced by the Greek government, MSC Cruises has decided to extend the suspension of MSC Magnifica’s operations.

Under the current measures, introduced by the Greek government, passenger ships can only make technical calls in Greek ports until 6 January.

As MSC Cruises expects the measures to be extended beyond that date, the cruise line has decided to postpone the restart MSC Magnifica. The ship will now resume operations on 14 February 2021.

Guests who are booked on MSC Magnifica before its new restart date can transfer their booking to MSC Grandiosa on January 10, 2021. Grandiosa is resuming her route through the western Mediterranean, calling only at ports in Italy and Malta.

In connection with the health situation ashore and in particular the continued unavailability of the majority of ports along the proposed itinerary, MSC Cruises has also been forced to cancel MSC Magnifica’s 2021 World Cruise.
