Next August travellers will finally get a chance to combine sun-drenched days and long summer night with some of the incredible onboard experiences as Scarlet Lady sets sail on a homecoming tour off the English coast.
For only three weeks in August, Scarlet Lady will be making six, short and sweet sailings around the southern coast of England. giving guests a sneak-peek of who she is and what Virgin Voyages is all about. The staycation-at-sea will take guests on either a four-night Summer WeekDaze voyage or a three-night Long Weekender voyage. Alternatively both sailings can be booked back-to-back for a full week at sea.
Sailing out from Portsmouth, England, Scarlet Lady will take guests on a tour off the English coast while providing guests a taste of her incredible onboard offerings.
These include more than 20 unique eateries and bars, amazing public spaces and carefully designed staterooms. Guests looking for a healthy break can get a proper dose of Vitamin Sea at the spa or in any of the fitness spaces. As an ode to the company’s roots, both the United Kingdom and rock’n roll, Virgin is tweaking its entertainment programming slightly for these sailings. During the voyages some local musicians and artists who haven’t been able to go on the road (or sea) over the past year will finally be able to take to the stage. And as with all of the line’s voyages, these sailings are adult-only and include access to all of the restaurants, group fitness classes, WiFi, tips, and all basic bevvies.
As Virgin is committed to a healthy and safe start at sea, the homecoming voyages will take place with the strictest precautions and considerations in place. Virgin’s Voyage Well initiative includes enhanced cleanings, contactless experiences, a new air purification system, reduced capacity, and frequent testing and vaccine requirements. As the UK has determined that its citizens can safely sail this summer, at this time only residents of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be able to sail on the Summer Soirée Series.
