Shipyard Postpones Delivery Of Allura

Oceania Cruises has announced the delayed entry into service of it’s upcoming luxury ship Allura. In a letter to travel advisors and guests booked on Allura’s first sailings, the cruise line announced it has been informed by the shipyard – Fincantieri – that the ship’s delivery will be delayed.

As a result the first six sailings of Allura’s inaugural season scheduled for the summer of 2025 have been cancelled. The company states: “We are as disappointed as you are yet will eagerly await her July arrival.”

Guests impacted by this delay will be notified directly and will automatically receive a 100% refund as well as a special rebook offer on a future sailing.

Allura was scheduled to sail her maiden voyage on a seven-day journey from Athens to Istanbul, departing on June 8, 2025. Stops during Allura’s first sailing included Santorini, Greece; Heraklion (Crete), Greece; Rhodes, Greece; Bodrum, Turkey; Ephesus (Kusadasi), Turkey and Canakkale (Troy), Turkey.

A new 12-day inaugural voyage for Allura is planned, commencing on July 24, 2025, from Athens, Greece, to Monte Carlo, Monaco. Following her departure from Athens (Piraeus), Greece, Allura wil set sail to Mykonos and Santorini (Greece). After spending a day at sea, Allura will visit Valletta (Malta) before setting sail towards the Italian cities of Messina (Sicily), Sorrento/Capri and Rome (Civitavecchia). Following a second day at sea Allura will call at the Spanish cities of Mahón (Menorca) and Barcelona. Allura will end her inaugural sailing with a visit to Saint-Tropez (France) before arriving in Monte Carlo (Monaco) on August 5, 2025.

This new inaugural sailing will open for sale beginning Monday, February 12. Guests who were booked on one of the now-canceled sailings will have early access to this new inaugural voyage one week prior.

Following her summer season in the Mediterranean, Allura will sail to Canada and New England for an extended season in North America before her premiere winter season in the Caribbean.
