Crystal Endeavor, the most luxurious expedition ship

One year from today, on August 10, 2020, Crystal Endeavor will embark on her maiden voyage from Tokyo. The groundbreaking vessel under Crystal Expedition Cruises will sail a remote and remarkable journey through the islands of Japan and the Russian Far East, marking the beginning of her inaugural season exploring the world’s farthest corners.

When Crystal Endeavor sets sail in August 2020 she will be the largest and most spacious purpose-built Polar Class ship.

Accommodating just 200 guests and boasting all the luxurious amenities and special touches for which Crystal is known, the yacht will feature generous public spaces, a full-service spa and salon, six restaurants, expedition rooms and elegant suites that contrast beautifully with the rugged adventures beyond the vessel.

LUXURY ACCOMMODATIONS

Crystal Endeavor’s accommodations will be the largest, most spacious suites in expedition cruising, featuring private verandahs and butler service for every suite. Luxury touches include king-sized beds, walk-in closets, heated storage for drying parkas, spa-like bathrooms with adjustable heated floors, dual vanities, anti-fog mirrors and rain-showerheads.

The stylish design of the suites is matched by state-of-the-art technological amenities that will enhance the experience with fine details, like ambient lighting, interactive streaming TVs and bedside iPads that offer voyage information and numerous international daily newspapers.

The 100 suites will include two Crystal Penthouse Suites (985 sq. ft. to 1,130 sq. ft.), eight Penthouse Suites (457 sq. ft.) and 90 Deluxe Suites (304 sq. ft.). The larger of the two Crystal Penthouse Suites features a two-bedroom layout, while the other one-bedroom plan connects to an adjacent Deluxe Suite through an adjoining entry, ideal for families and friends traveling together. Both offer dedicated dining areas and butler’s prep space for in-suite dining from Crystal Endeavor’s Michelin-level eateries. The Penthouse Suites and Deluxe Suites offer separated sleeping and sitting areas, private verandahs and desk vanity areas.

WORLD-CLASS CUISINE

The dining experience aboard Crystal Endeavor will remain true to the diverse menus and standard of world-class cuisine offered on all Crystal Ocean, Yacht and River vessels, with all-inclusive dining, fine wines and premium spirits offered throughout.

Specialty restaurants will include Prego, serving traditional Italian fare, and Umi Uma, serving signature sushi and specialties from Master Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Additionally, the yacht will feature the elegant main dining venue, Waterside, the Asian-inspired Silk Kitchen & Bar – located in the two-story solarium during the evenings and the European-inspired Bistro Café, which will offer full service breakfast and lunch and be a go-to spot for freshly brewed espresso and teas.

ELEGANT PUBLIC SPACES

The elegant Palm Court – a favorite hub for afternoon tea, cocktails, dancing and floor-to-ceiling views aboard Crystal’s ocean and river ships – will host enrichment presentations and classes as well as evening entertainment. Other favored social spaces will be the Connoisseur Club cigar lounge, and Crystal Cove – the heart of the ship where guests will gather for varied guest speakers, pre-dinner cocktails and late-night entertainment and the only casino on an expedition yacht.

Enrichment venues will include the Captain’s Lounge, the Expedition Lounge, the Helicopter Lounge and the Library. The Promenade will stretch from Crystal Cove to Waterside and be a more intimate space for guests to enjoy cocktails, conversation and spectacular views. Additionally, Crystal’s onboard boutiques, Apropos and Facets, will offer designer and fine jewelry shopping.

Wellness options will include a fully-equipped fitness center and the dedicated Crystal Life Spa & Crystal Life Salon featuring three treatment rooms, separate men’s and women’s steam and sauna facilities, a relaxation room and full-service salon services. The two-story solarium pool deck will be enclosed under a glass-domed roof. Additionally, expansive mud rooms are designed to accommodate preparation for the day’s adventures and offer cleaning of boots and equipment upon guests’ return from a day exploring ashore.

EXTRAORDINARY VOYAGES

During her inaugural season, Crystal Endeavor will sail expedition voyages through Japan and the Russian Far East, Antarctica via the Ross Sea, New Zealand and Tasmania, Australia and the Great Barrier Reef, and Borneo, Indonesia and the Philippines.

In 2021, Crystal Endeavor will add New Zealand’s Sub-Antarctic Islands, Alaska and the Aleutian Islands, Norway and the United Kingdom, the Canary Islands, Atlantic and South America to her repertoire, as well as an extraordinary voyage through the rarely traveled Northeast Passage.
