As we are getting closer to the official launch of MSC Meraviglia we can’t keep it a secret any longer, we have a date! On June 2nd we will be among the first guests to discover the highly anticipated “eighth wonder of the world”.
If you are following us on Twitter you will have noticed we have been keeping you updated with a daily fun-fact about MSC Cruises‘ new flagship.
With only a few more days to go before the official christening by the ship’s godmother, the legendary Sophia Loren, we are excited to confirm we will be among the first guests to step aboard the new MSC Meraviglia.
At 315 metres long and 65 metres tall with 19 decks and capacity of 5,700 guests, Meraviglia will join the growing group of mega-cruiseships at sea.
Described as “the ship for all seasons“, MSC Meraviglia will host a range of hotel, dining and entertainment options not frequently found on one ship.
The highlight of the ship’s entertainment will undoubtedly be the exclusive Cirque du Soleil shows in the purpose-built Carousel Lounge.
A 96-metre long interior Promenade will house a selection of shops and dining facilities as well as daily pre-dinner parades. Providing a tempting taster of the evening’s entertainment dancers, singers and performers will showcase their talents under awe-inspired visuals and effects on an 80 metre LED sky.
Young guests and those looking for a more active vacation will love the aqua park complete with waterslides, the ropse course, the full-size bowling alley, two Formula 1 virtual-reality racing cars and the multifunctional sports venue.
MSC’s Meraviglia will also be the first ship to introduce new flexible dining options and dining packages that will allow guests to dine as they want, when they want and where they want.
While the christening of a new cruise ship is always an exciting event, the launch of MSC Meraviglia promises to be one of the most spectacular cruise events of the year.
