Costa cancels winter programs for two ships in Europe

Italian cruise line Costa Cruises has cancelled the European winter programs for Costa Venezia and Costa Diadema.

Costa Cruises has announced it has cancelled the winter programs for two of its ships in Europe: Costa Venezia and Costa Diadema.

Costa Venezia will continue to operate her 7-day cruises through Turkey and Greece from Istanbul until November 13, 2022 and also the following 11-day cruise departing on November 20, 2022. All the following 11-day cruises originally planned from December 1, 2022 to mid-April 2023 have been cancelled. In a statement Costa said: “the product is the ideal offer for some nationalities that under
the current scenario cannot have access to it”.

Earlier this year it was announced that next year Venezia will transfer to the Carnival Cruise Line operation in North America. The ship will sail from New York as part of the Costa by Carnival offering.

Costa Diadema will finish her current Mediterranean season on November 22. As announced Diadema’s winter season extending through April 7, 2023 has been cancelled.

Costa Diadema, currently operating cruises towards Fjords in Northern Europe will continue her planned schedule until 22 November 2022 (North Europe in September, Canary Islands in October/November). All the following planned cruises from November 22, 2022 to April 7, 2023, have been cancelled.

Costa Diadema will resume her cruise program starting from April 7, 2023 with the already scheduled 14-day cruises in the Canary Islands and, later, 7-day cruises in the West Mediterranean.
