Santorini, Greece

Santorini, officially named Thira, is the southernmost Greek island that is within the Cyclades archipelago, in the southern Aegean Sea. Part of the regional unit Thira, the municipality of Santorini is comprised of the island Santorini, Therasia, and other uninhabited islands of Christiana, Palaia Kameni, Aspronisi, and Nea Kameni. The geological history of Santorini is quite complex due to the area’s volcanism and is currently a water-filled caldera: a rectangular lagoon that is surrounded by three steep cliffs. The name Santorini is a contraction of the name Santa Irini, which is based on an ancient cathedral found in the island’s village of Perissa.

Gustavia, St. Barths

St. Barths is perhaps one of the most treasured destination in the Caribbean! This small island belonging to the French West Indies has so much to offer. Gustavia in St. Barths is a beautiful port with plenty of activities to enjoy. Some choose to use this port as a shopping hub, taking advantage of the wonderful opportunities and many local shops around. Others prefer to lounge on the beach and watch all of the incredible yachts arriving and departing. Either way, it is definitely recommended to check out one of the many delectable restaurants while ashore.

Istanbul, Turkey

Istanbul historically known as Constantinople is the largest city in Turkey and 5th largest city proper in the world with a population of over 14 million, also making it the second largest metropolitan area in Europe by population. Istanbul was selected as a European Capital of Culture for 2010. Historic areas of the city were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1985. Istanbul is a transcontinental city, straddling the Bosporus, one of the world’s busiest waterways in northwestern Turkey. It is situated between the Sea of Marmara and the Black Sea. Its commercial and historical center lies in Europe, while a third of its population lives in Asia.

Haifa, Israel

In ebullient Haifa, you’ll be dazzled by one of the most meticulously maintained parks in the world, the terraced Bahá’í Gardens, where each tree, flower and even blade of grass is lovingly tended by followers of the Bahá’í faith. This UNESCO World Heritage site, which is dotted with ornate buildings and fountains, lies at the base of Mount Carmel. For exceptional views of the city and the shimmering sea, ascend further up the holy mountain aboard a cable car, alighting at an ideal lookout near the Carmelite Monastery of Stella Maris. Roam through the 12th-century underground headquarters of the Knights of Saint John in Acre, a UNESCO World Heritage site nearly 4,000 years old.

Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands

The Principality of Monaco is an independent sovereign state composed of four quarters Fontvieille (the newest), Monaco-Ville (the oldest), La Condamine, and Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo is widely known for its casino as well as the Monaco Grand Prix. Monte Carlo is one of Europe’s leading tourist destinations as it simply has so much to offer. Some of the sights include the Cathédrale Paroisse, Eglise Sainte Dévôte, Jardin Exotique et Grottes de l’Observatoire, Monaco Top Cars Collection, Musée Océanographique and of course the Palace.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

San Juan, founded in the 1520’s by Spanish settlers, is both the largest city and the capital city of Puerto Rico. A territory of the Unites States, Puerto Rico is comprised of the large main island as well as five smaller islands, including the popular islands of Vieques and Culebra. SeaDream docks in Old San Juan, the oldest part of the city. Parts of this historic port city are still surrounded by stone walls dating back to the 1500’s.
