MSC Cruises has revealed stunning new images of the brand-new and original Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows exclusively on MSC Grandiosa.
The Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows have been specially created for MSC Cruises and cannot be seen anywhere else in the world. Each Meraviglia Class ship – MSC Meraviglia, MSC Bellissima, MSC Grandiosa and MSC Virtuasa – features two very different, contrasting shows, each with a different concept, ambiance and storyline.
While guests on board MSC Meraviglia can enjoy ‘Viaggio’ and ‘Sonor’, those sailing on MSC Bellissima can see ‘SYMA – Sail beyond Imagination’ and ‘VARÉLIA – Love in Full Colour’.
For MSC Grandiosa Cirque du Soleil created ‘COSMOS, Journey to the Unbelievable’ where guests experience a breathtaking voyage across the galaxy with a brave astronaut on a quest for self-discovery. In ‘EXENTRICKS, Expect the Unexpected’ audiences are caught off guard at every turn in a high-spirited spectacle.
The new acrobatic performance ‘Ginger Rope’ in COSMOS sees three artists use a unique acrobatic apparatus developed specifically for the show. Aerialists fly gracefully in orbit on the rotating stage on moving ropes embodying rings around the planets.
For the first time for any Cirque du Soleil at Sea show, EXENTRICKS puts guests in the centre of the show with audience participation playing a vital role in the story, bringing MSC Cruises guests closer to the artists than ever before.
Cirque du Soleil at Sea can be booked before the cruise with a special online discount or booked once on board. Guests can either book to enjoy a three-course menu of palate-pleasing dishes served before the show (€35), or savour a specialty cocktail (€15) and enjoy the pre-show that begins 30 minutes before the start of the Cirque du Soleil at Sea performance.
