Symphony of the Seas is getting ready to be handed over to Royal Caribbean

Workers at STX France are adding the final finishing touches to Symphony of the Seas before handing her over to Royal Caribbean International.

Symphony of the Seas is ready to redefine family and adventure travel by bringing together the award-winning and acclaimed features only found on Royal Caribbean, with a few extra experiences. These include new dining concepts and family activities, awe-inspiring theater, aerial, ice and aqua entertainment and the most dynamic suite in family travel. Furthermore the ship features a lineup of Royal Caribbean exclusives – such as the robot bartenders at the Bionic Bar, the iconic AquaTheater showcasing unrivaled high-flying, high-diving performances and the Ultimate Abyss, the tallest slide at sea – all set in the unique seven-neighborhood concept of the award-winning Oasis-class ships.

Workers at the STX France shipyard are currently adding the final licks of paint in preparation for the ship’s official handover to Royal Caribbean.

The newest ship in Royal Caribbean’s fleet will set sail for a summer season in the Mediterranean, calling on ports in Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Provence, France; and Florence/Pisa, Rome and Naples, Italy. Beginning Nov. 24, 2018, the adventure-packed ship will make Miami, FL her year-round home, sailing 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean voyages from the state-of-the-art new Terminal A at PortMiami. Symphony of the Seas spans 16 guest decks, encompasses more than 230,000 gross registered tons, carries some 5,500 guests at double occupancy and feature 2,759 staterooms.
