A luxury Spring break on board Azamara Quest

A few months ago we had the opportunity to visit the refurbished Azamara Quest and get a quick taste of the luxury life onboard Azamara Club Cruises. Impressed by the stylish interior which reflects an upscale boutique hotel we left the ship dreaming of one day spoiling ourselves with a voyage on board Azamara Quest or sistership Azamara Journey. And guess what some dreams do come true.

Last week we spotted an offer on social media for a seven night Western Mediterranean voyage on board Azamara Quest. We realised this was a chance not to be missed and contacted our travel agent.

It took us a few days to get time off at work and book the tickets to Barcelona, but we can now officially say we’ll be joining the beautiful Azamara Quest for a spring break like never before.

On April 18th we will meet up with Azamara Quest in Barcelona and set sail to Palma De Mallorca, the capital of the Balearic Islands. Famous for its amazing gothic cathedral and old city with a maze of narrow streets, Palma is also the starting point for the ferrocarril de Soller, a historic electric train connecting Palma with the North of the island.

After a relaxing day at sea the city of Ajaccio on the island of Corsica will be our next port of call. Ajaccio is most famous as the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte.

No luxury voyage on board Azamara would be complete without a stop in the mondain city of  Monte-Carlo in Monaco.

While the Italian city of Livorno offers a direct gateway to Florence and Pisa, we will probably try and visit Lucca, which is located North of that world famous leaning tower.

As we reach Civitavecchia most guests will probably grab the opportunity to visit the eternal city of Rome or Vatican City, for us it will unfortunately mean the end to a luxury escape and back to reality… preparing for our next cruise 😉
