Freedom of the Seas: the Ark of Music

Created with the intent to help humans and animals survive the big flood, Noah’s Ark is one of the most fascinating tales in history. With the past in memory a Belgian company is turning Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas into a modern version of the ark and giving thousands of people the opportunity to find their inner party animal, get loose from the concrete jungle and taste the beautiful things life has to offer.

For four days in August 2017, the majestic Freedom of the Seas will be home to over 4,000 guests on The Ark Cruise, one of the biggest party cruises in the world. The ship’s on-board facilities such as the cinema and theatre, as well as the ice skating rink and the upper deck, will be converted into festive stages offering a wide range of electronic music hosted by Elrow, Ministry of Sound and Belgian clubs Versuz and Kitsch Club.

Other entertainment venues include the Royal Promenade with shops and eateries, a shopping mall, casino and specialty restaurants.

The party kicks off on August 31,2017 in Barcelona as Freedom of the Seas departs from the harbour of Barcelona and sails onto the Mediterranean Sea. The next day The Ark anchors at Ibiza, Europe’s most famous party island, giving the party people a chance to explore the island, attend the hottest parties and soak up the magic of this tropical paradise. The third day The Ark docks in the South of France. Guests can either do a quick exploration of the city of Marseille or decide to keep the party going onboard. After four days of festive vacation The Ark will harbour at its beginning destination Barcelona.
