Guests sailing with Holland America Line through the Caribbean this season will find even more reasons to linger ashore at RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay. The cruise line has completed a series of enhancements to its private island in The Bahamas, introducing new dining and relaxation options while refreshing several of the amenities that have made the destination a popular stop for almost three decades.
The improvements form the start of a yearlong celebration leading up to RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay’s 30th anniversary in 2027. Guests sailing on more than two dozen Caribbean itineraries between October 2026 and April 2027 will have the opportunity to experience the refreshed destination.
A New Beach Club Experience

One of the most significant additions is the new Beach Club, designed around a relaxed Caribbean atmosphere with Holland America Line’s familiar blue, orange and cream colour palette, natural textures and open-air spaces.
The Beach Club will open to guests in October, with day passes becoming available for booking in early October. Those who purchase access will receive priority tendering between their ship and the island, allowing them to make the most of their time ashore.
Once at the Beach Club, guests can expect dedicated waiter service, all-inclusive alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, beach accessories and specialty food and drink options. The experience will also include a number of additional touches intended to make a day on the island feel more leisurely and exclusive.
The new facility adds another layer to RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay without changing the relaxed character for which the destination is known.
More Ways to Relax and Dine

The Beach Club is not the only new addition. A new food pavilion will serve a complimentary menu created specifically for the island, with barbecue favourites inspired by the Caribbean.
Elsewhere, several of the existing bars and eateries have been renovated, while the cabanas have received upgrades. The beach itself now offers additional daybeds, as well as upgraded canopy loungers for two and more beach chairs, creating additional space for guests to settle in for the day.
For those looking for something more active, four pickleball courts have also been added. The courts build on the recreational facilities introduced during the previous season and provide another option beyond the beach and water.
Together, the changes give guests more choice in how they spend their time at RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, whether that means a long lunch, a quiet afternoon in a cabana or a game of pickleball before returning to the ship.
Caribbean Sailings Through Spring 2027

The enhanced island experience arrives as Holland America Line enters its 2026-27 Caribbean season. More than two dozen itineraries calling at RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay are scheduled between October 2026 and April 2027, giving travellers plenty of opportunities to discover the updated destination.
The cruise line is also highlighting its Caribbean sailings for the holiday season. Under its current Save on Sunshine promotion, selected cruises offer savings of up to 50 percent on cruise fares, together with free fares for children on qualifying sailings.
Holiday itineraries range from seven-day Caribbean escapes to longer journeys combining well-known destinations with less-visited islands and historic ports. Selected itineraries also incorporate a Panama Canal experience, offering a different perspective on a winter cruise in the Caribbean.
With the improvements at RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, Holland America Line is adding new experiences to a destination that has been part of its Caribbean offering for nearly 30 years. As the island approaches its 30th anniversary in 2027, the latest investment brings together new dining, upgraded facilities and additional ways for guests to enjoy a day in the tropics.
