Oceania Cruises is expanding its onboard enrichment program across its fleet from 2027, introducing a broader range of expert-led talks, special-interest activities and hands-on experiences. The expanded program is designed to give guests more opportunities to learn about the destinations they visit, explore new subjects and pursue personal interests during their voyage.
The destination- and culinary-focused luxury cruise line will introduce a dedicated enrichment speaker on every sailing. Speakers will specialize in heritage, culture or history, with presentations selected to complement the destinations featured on each itinerary.
The expanded offering is part of Oceania Cruises’ ongoing investment in the onboard guest experience, with longer voyages receiving additional programming and greater variety.
An Enrichment Speaker on Every Sailing
From 2027, every cruise will feature a speaker with expertise in heritage, culture or history. Their presentations will add context to the destinations on the itinerary, offering guests an opportunity to explore the history and culture behind the places they encounter during their voyage.
“Today’s luxury traveler is seeking more meaningful ways to engage with the world around them,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises. “By expanding our speaker program and introducing additional opportunities for cultural exploration, wellness and special-interest learning, we are creating even more ways for guests to personalize their luxury experience and make the most of their time at sea.”
Voyages of 12 days or longer will feature a second special-interest speaker. Topics will range from astronomy and sports to artificial intelligence, technology, health and longevity, alongside other contemporary subjects intended to encourage learning and conversation.
More to Do on Longer Voyages
The enrichment program also expands beyond talks and presentations. On voyages with three or more sea days, guests may take part in specialist-led activities including American Mah Jongg classes.
Bridge players can also receive instruction and participate in games led by American Contract Bridge League-accredited Master Instructors.
For voyages with six or more sea days, the program adds further activities, including creative workshops led by dedicated Crafting Arts Ambassadors and BeMoved.
BeMoved® is an inclusive dance program combining music and movement, with a focus on both personal wellbeing and active participation. It offers guests another way to stay active while at sea, alongside the broader range of enrichment activities.
Extending Discovery Beyond the Destination
The expanded program reflects Oceania Cruises’ approach to the onboard experience: the journey itself should offer opportunities for discovery, not simply provide a way to travel between destinations.
By adding more expert-led programming and activities tailored to different interests, the line is creating more opportunities for guests to learn, participate and connect throughout their cruise. The new offerings complement the destination-rich itineraries for which Oceania Cruises is known, while giving longer voyages an even broader range of activities at sea.
The expanded onboard enrichment program will roll out across the Oceania Cruises fleet beginning in 2027.
