Holland America Line is continuing its $70 million multi-year investment at Holland America Denali Lodge, with remaining upgrades scheduled for completion ahead of the 2027 Alaska Cruisetour season. Several enhancements have already been finished and are now available to guests, while additional improvements are still underway across the property.
Denali Lodge Enhancements Continue Ahead of 2027
The final phase of development is progressing on schedule and will further elevate both guest capacity and the overall lodge experience. The project also aligns with Holland America Line’s 80th year of Alaska exploration in 2027.

Work still in progress includes the construction of two new guest accommodation buildings, replacing older structures and adding 72 rooms to the property. A full redesign of the Main Lodge’s interior and public areas is also underway, along with the complete renovation of the Grizzly Grind coffee shop.
These upcoming upgrades build on a series of improvements already completed throughout the lodge.
Completed Upgrades Already Enhancing Guest Stays
Visitors to Holland America Denali Lodge are already experiencing a range of recent enhancements, including a refreshed riverside interpretive trail with new viewpoints and improved signage across the property.
Additional completed work includes renovated public spaces in the Cottonwood and Canyon Lodge buildings, the introduction of Outpost Coffee + Provisions for grab-and-go dining, expanded seating at Karstens Public House, and updated menus across several venues featuring Alaskan and Pacific Northwest-inspired cuisine.
19 Alaska Cruisetours for the 2027 Season

For 2027, Holland America will offer 19 Cruisetour itineraries between May and September, ranging from 9 to 17 nights.
Each journey combines a 3- to 7-night Alaska cruise with an overland experience that includes a visit to Denali National Park, a one- to three-night stay at Holland America Denali Lodge, and optional extensions into Canada’s Yukon, including Whitehorse and Dawson City.
Guests can choose whether to begin their journey at sea or on land, with Holland America remaining the only cruise line offering itineraries that travel deep into the Yukon.
Alaska-Inspired Dining Across the Lodge

The culinary program at Denali Lodge has been refreshed under Culinary Ambassador Ethan Stowell, with a stronger emphasis on locally sourced ingredients and regional flavors inspired by Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.
Highlights include smoked salmon bagel sandwiches, bison chili, and reindeer sausage at Outpost Coffee + Provisions; Alaskan halibut fish & chips, grilled sockeye salmon BLT, and fresh seafood dishes at Karstens Public House; and Dungeness crab cakes, alder-smoked salmon chowder, king crab legs, and Alaskan salmon and halibut at Canyon Ridge Grill.
