Luxury yacht Amangati to sail inaugural Caribbean cruises from Antigua in 2027

Luxury hospitality brand Aman has revealed the first Caribbean itineraries for its new yacht Amangati. Following its inaugural Mediterranean season, the 47-suite luxury yacht will make its Caribbean debut between 21 November 2027 and 2 January 2028, sailing a series of five- to eight-night voyages from Antigua through the Leeward Islands, Windward Islands and Dutch Caribbean.

The launch follows the yacht’s Mediterranean programme, which was previously announced in its debut season overview, including details of its design, onboard facilities and maiden sailings across Southern Europe. That earlier itinerary announcement can be found here: Aman at Sea unveils inaugural itineraries for Amangati.

The Caribbean season marks the continuation of Aman at Sea’s expansion into ocean travel, extending the brand’s hospitality philosophy from its hotels and resorts to small-ship cruising. Rather than following traditional cruise routes and busy port schedules, Amangati will focus on smaller harbours, secluded anchorages and extended time in each destination.

Late departures and overnight stays are central to the itineraries, while the yacht’s scale allows access to bays and islands beyond the reach of larger cruise ships. Guests can also enjoy direct sea access via the yacht’s marina platform, with paddleboards, kayaks and watersports equipment available while at anchor.

Exploring the Leeward Islands

The season opens with voyages through the Leeward Islands, one of the Caribbean’s most varied island groups. Ports of call include Gustavia on Saint Barthélemy, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Barbuda, Virgin Gorda and Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands, Philipsburg on Sint Maarten, Saba, Little Bay on Montserrat and Prickly Pear Cay off Anguilla.

A highlight of this region is a dedicated Marina Day in Barbuda, where guests can swim, paddleboard and kayak directly from the yacht in calm turquoise waters surrounded by white-sand beaches.

From rainforest peaks to volcanic islands

The Windward Islands itineraries sail between Antigua and Barbados, showcasing some of the Caribbean’s most dramatic landscapes. Stops include Îles des Saintes in Guadeloupe, Portsmouth in Dominica, Anse d’Arlet in Martinique and Soufrière in Saint Lucia, set beneath the UNESCO-listed Pitons.

The route continues to Canouan in the Grenadines before concluding in Saint George’s, Grenada, combining rainforest interiors, volcanic scenery and Caribbean beaches.

Discovering the Dutch Caribbean

The southern Caribbean voyages explore Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, each offering a distinct character. Bonaire is known for its protected coral reefs and marine biodiversity, Curaçao for the colourful architecture of Willemstad, and Aruba for its long beaches and steady trade winds.

The itineraries also include the Tobago Cays in the Grenadines, an uninhabited marine park known for its clear waters, coral reefs and sea turtles.

The inaugural Caribbean season concludes with a two-night New Year’s anchorage off Nevis, offering an intimate setting to welcome 2028.

Mediterranean season and Atlantic crossing

Before reaching the Caribbean, Amangati will complete its inaugural Mediterranean season with itineraries including Aegean Treasures, Italian Flavors, Coastal Highlights and Western Mediterranean. These voyages visit destinations such as Dubrovnik, Kotor, Sicily, Naples, Rome and the French Riviera.

The yacht will then depart Malaga on The Atlantic Passage, a 13-night transatlantic crossing via Cadiz and the Azores to Antigua. The voyage focuses on wellness and restoration, combining long ocean passages with Aman’s holistic approach to wellbeing.

Life on board Amangati

With just 47 ocean-facing suites, Amangati is designed for an intimate onboard experience. Each suite features floor-to-ceiling windows and a private terrace with uninterrupted sea views.

On board, guests have access to four restaurants, expansive outdoor decks and one of the largest spas in luxury yachting, with every treatment room featuring a private terrace and whirlpool. A dedicated Suite Host for every suite ensures highly personalised service throughout the voyage.
