TUI Cruises has officially taken delivery of its newest vessel, Mein Schiff Flow, marking the arrival of the second ship in the innovative InTUItion-class fleet. The handover took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, just days ahead of the ship’s maiden voyage.
The naming ceremony for Mein Schiff Flow will be held on June 20, 2026, in the Bay of Trieste, marking a key milestone for the next-generation cruise ship and its entry into service.
The official handover was attended by senior representatives from both companies, including Wybcke Meier and Frank Kuhlmann, CEO and CFO of TUI Cruises, as well as Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and General Manager of Fincantieri, Luigi Matarazzo, and Cristiano Bazzara, Director of the Monfalcone shipyard.

With Mein Schiff Flow, we continue the success story of the InTUItion class, combining spacious design, open sea views, and innovative onboard concepts. At the same time, this ship represents another important step toward lower-emission cruising.”
Mein Schiff Flow and its sister ship, Mein Schiff Relax, are designed with a strong focus on sustainable cruising. Both vessels will be powered by bio-LNG during the summer 2026 season, supporting reduced emissions across operations. Mein Schiff Flow will also regularly refuel with bio-LNG in Barcelona, reinforcing its role in advancing cleaner maritime energy solutions.
The ship is scheduled to depart on its maiden voyage from Trieste on June 14, 2026, before beginning its inaugural season in the Mediterranean, sailing to and from Palma de Mallorca. Later in the year, Mein Schiff Flow will reposition to Northern Europe for the 2026/27 winter season, followed by deployments in the Canary Islands and the Caribbean in early 2027.
The InTUItion-class vessels represent the next generation of environmentally advanced cruise ships. In addition to bio-LNG propulsion, Mein Schiff Flow is equipped with improved catalytic converters that reduce nitrogen oxide emissions to Euro 6 standards during port operations. A shore power connection further enables near-zero emissions while docked—covering approximately 40% of operating time when renewable energy is available.
Looking ahead, both Mein Schiff Flow and Mein Schiff Relax are designed to be compatible with future e-LNG fuels, ensuring long-term flexibility in sustainable cruise operations and reinforcing TUI Cruises’ commitment to decarbonizing its fleet.
