Explora Journeys presents a new interpretation of its Owner’s Residence through an exclusive collaboration with Patricia Urquiola, one of the world’s most celebrated architects and designers. This partnership, debuting on EXPLORA III in the summer of 2026 and on EXPLORA IV in 2027, adds a second Owner’s Residence to each of these ships. It reflects a shared vision of modern ocean living: an emotional and sensory journey through design, light, and movement.

Urquiola herself adds: “I imagined the Owner’s Residence as a space to be inhabited with both the body and the eyes. Textures and materials create a sense of security while remaining open to the movement of the sea. It is about creating a sense of belonging on the water.”
Luxury at the Stern
The Owner’s Residences, located at the aft on Decks 7 and 8, are the largest and most exclusive accommodations aboard EXPLORA III. Each offers 280 sqm of carefully curated space, 125 sqm of which is dedicated to a magnificent terrace spanning the full width of the ship. Urquiola’s residence is situated on Deck 7, offering uninterrupted views over the stern for a constant connection with the ocean. The 155 sqm interior includes an elegant living and dining room and a spacious bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the sea as living art.
The interior of the Owner’s Residence exudes a Mediterranean atmosphere with earthy tones and natural textures. The furnishings include iconic pieces from Cassina (some designed by Urquiola herself), Kettal, and Moroso. Urquiola utilizes bronze metals that catch the light, Cipollino and Travertine marble for mineral warmth, and oak parquet and terracotta for tactile harmony.
The bedroom features a bespoke king-size bed and a marble bathroom with a double vanity, a large bathtub, a separate rain shower, and a steam room. The living area showcases her Sengu table and sofa. A notable architectural detail is the 90-meter-long, sculpted marble wall paneling that flows seamlessly from the interior to the exterior.
Exclusive Service On the terrace, guests can enjoy a spacious whirlpool and an alfresco dining area. The residence can accommodate up to four adults (when connected to an Ocean Terrace Suite) and includes the services of a dedicated Residence Manager and a team of butlers to ensure every detail is handled to perfection.
EXPLORA III will sail an exclusive ‘Mediterranean Prelude’ on July 24th, followed by her maiden voyage from Barcelona to Lisbon on August 3rd. Later in the year, itineraries to Northern Europe, Iceland, and Greenland are also scheduled.
