Oceania Allura Elevates Fine Dining With a European Twist

On board Oceania Allura, dining is about more than just good food – it’s an experience. The newest addition to the Oceania Cruises fleet presents itself as a floating gastronomic destination where sophistication, creativity, and warmth converge. With a diverse array of dining options ranging from elegant restaurants to cozy bars and sweet retreats, every moment of the day becomes an opportunity to indulge.

A floating paradise for foodies

Since its inception, Oceania Cruises has positioned itself as the ultimate cruise line for foodies. The guiding principle of its The Finest Cuisine at Sea concept is the fusion of refined contemporary versions of classic dishes with modern masterpieces.

At the heart of Oceania Allura lies the glamorous Grand Dining Room, one of 12 dining venues on board. The restaurant evokes the classic grandeur of stylish European hotels, with soft lighting and attentive service setting the tone for menus that change daily. Breakfast offers a tranquil start to the day with refined dishes prepared to order, while lunch transitions into a lighter, European-inspired brasserie atmosphere. For dinner, the menu features elegantly presented meat and seafood dishes, vegetarian creations, and innovative interpretations of international flavors.

With Chef Alexis Quaretti, one of Oceania Cruises’ two Executive Culinary Directors.

Led by Executive Culinary Directors and Master Chefs of France, Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, no fewer than 270 new recipes were developed specifically for this venue.

A must-try is the brunch, which features an extensive seafood buffet, fresh pasta, various homemade breads, and exquisite pastries.

A hallmark of Oceania Cruises is its specialty restaurants, each boasting a unique culinary identity – and all included in the fare. Jacques brings French gastronomy to life with rich flavors reminiscent of Parisian bistros. At Toscana, creamy burrata, fragrant herbs, and handmade pasta create a pure Italian ambiance. Polo Grill, the line’s classic steakhouse, serves carefully selected aged steaks alongside refined seafood and traditional sides. For those eager to explore Asian aromas, Red Ginger offers a harmonious blend of Japanese, Thai, and Southeast Asian influences.

Another favorite is Aquamar Kitchen, a casual spot focusing on light, healthy dishes like smoothies, bowls, and crisp salads. For relaxed alfresco dining, Waves Grill serves gourmet burgers and paninis by day, and artisanal pizzas under the stars by night.

Brussels waffles and crêpes

The most striking and talked-about new culinary highlight aboard Oceania Allura is undoubtedly the Crêperie. Located next to the Baristas coffee bar, this inviting space is the sweet heart of the ship. Here, everything revolves around indulgence and craftsmanship.

The menu offers a delightful selection of French crêpes, Brussels waffles, fluffy bubble waffles, Italian gelato, and imaginative toppings. The Brussels waffles are the Crêperie’s crowning glory-freshly baked, golden brown, and light and crispy on the outside. You can enjoy them plain or topped with fresh fruit, warm chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream, or whipped cream. They are an irresistible treat after a morning ashore or a dip in the pool.

The Brussels waffles are not just a dessert; they are culinary temptation in its purest form.

Those looking to celebrate a special occasion can retreat to a private dining room, where small groups can enjoy a festive meal in a tranquil setting. Menus can be curated from the specialty restaurants, lending a personal and exclusive touch to every event.

With Chef Kathryn Kelly, Executive Chef & Director of Culinary Enrichment and the driving force behind The Culinary Center and Culinary Discovery Tours at Oceania Cruises

Beyond dining, Allura offers culinary activities that go beyond mere tasting. In the Culinary Center, guests can learn new cooking techniques under the guidance of expert instructors through workshops and demonstrations. With a generous ratio of one chef for every eight guests, every meal feels like a gastronomic celebration.

Oceania Allura is the cruise line’s eighth ship, featuring the most spacious standard staterooms at sea and accommodating 1,200 guests. During her inaugural season, Allura will visit over 92 destinations on a series of voyages ranging from 7 to 34 days.
