Azamara Pursuit: senior officers and christening

A few months ago Azamara Club Cruises announced the addition of Azamara Pursuit to their fleet of boutique cruise ships allowing them to offer voyages to even more regions of the world.

Pursuit will, for example, sail to 61 more destinations – including 15 new destinations – across all continents during her first season.

In a recent update Azamara has informed us that Pursuit will leave dry dock for Barcelona on August 3, 2018 from where she will sail to Southampton. From here Pursuit will sail on an Icelandic itinerary before returning to Southampton for her christening ceremony on August 28.

In contrast to Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest – who went straight into service after their purchase – Azamara Pursuit will receive a traditional christening and godmother.

Azamara also announced Azamara Pursuit‘s senior officers and crew. Captain Carl Smith will be Senior Captain while Ryszard Gusmann will be responsible for all hotel related operations. Tony Markey will be in charge of the onboard entertainment.

Having met Cpt. Smith and Tony Markey during our voyage on board Azamara Quest we can honestly say that, together with Hotel Director Ryszard, Azamara Pursuit will be in azamazing hands.
