Celebrity Cruises has unveiled its cruise programme for 2028 and 2029, with Europe taking centre stage alongside an extensive selection of itineraries in Alaska, Asia, Australia, New England and South America. For the first time, four Edge Series ships will sail in Europe, including the newly revitalised Celebrity Beyond.

Highlights Across Europe and Beyond
The 2028-2029 programme includes:
- The largest deployment of Edge Series ships in Europe to date, with Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent and Celebrity Apex, alongside Celebrity Cruises’ most extensive Northern Europe programme so far.
- Overnight stays in Egypt aboard Celebrity Infinity.
- Celebrity Cruises’ first-ever visit to Galway, Ireland, on new British Isles itineraries aboard Celebrity Apex, as well as the return to Bari, Italy, for the first time in more than a decade with Celebrity Constellation and Celebrity Infinity.
- New round-trip sailings to Hawaii from Los Angeles and the first Alaska season for Celebrity Equinox.
- The first full Japan season for the Solstice Series, with 2028 sailings aboard the renewed Celebrity Solstice.
- An extended South America season and the return to Antarctica aboard Celebrity Equinox.
Four Edge Series Ships in Europe
Europe will have a particularly strong presence in Celebrity Cruises’ 2028 and 2029 programme. Four Edge Series ships will sail in the region, offering itineraries across Scandinavia, Iceland, Norway and the Mediterranean.
Celebrity Beyond returns to Europe for the first time since 2023 following a refurbishment that introduced new spaces, including the Mediterranean restaurant Bora and the Celebrity Pool Club. The poolside area will also feature Orange Peel Bar & Grille and Tacos del Sol, which debut aboard Celebrity Beyond in November 2026.
Seven- to 14-night cruises from Southampton will visit Norway, Iceland and Scandinavia. Among the highlights are 14-night itineraries aboard Celebrity Beyond combining Iceland with the Norwegian fjords. Ports include Reykjavik, Isafjordur, Akureyri and Seydisfjordur in Iceland, followed by Geiranger, Alesund, Flam, Nordfjordeid and Bergen in Norway.
Celebrity Summit will also offer round-trip sailings from Reykjavik, while Celebrity Apex will explore Scandinavia on 12-night itineraries calling at Oslo, Skagen, Stockholm, Tallinn, Helsinki and Copenhagen.
New 12-night British Isles itineraries aboard Celebrity Apex combine Scotland, Ireland and England, including Celebrity Cruises’ first-ever visit to Galway.
For Mediterranean cruises, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent and Celebrity Eclipse will offer seven- to 11-night itineraries to destinations in Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Greece and Turkey. Celebrity Constellation will focus on Italy and Croatia with 10- and 11-night cruises, including the line’s return to Bari.
Celebrity Infinity will continue to sail in Europe year-round. The ship will also return to Egypt for the first time since 2023, with overnight stays in Alexandria. Shoulder-season cruises from Athens will visit Santorini, Kavala, Rhodes, Mykonos and Ephesus, while off-season sailings from Barcelona will head towards the Canary Islands, Portugal and Morocco in search of winter sunshine.
More Alaska and Hawaii Cruises
Alaska will also feature prominently in the 2028 programme, with three Celebrity ships sailing in the region. Celebrity Edge returns for a fifth season, offering guests views of Alaska’s landscapes and wildlife from its outward-facing design.
For Celebrity Equinox, 2028 marks its first Alaska season. The ship will operate seven-night open-jaw cruises between Vancouver and Seward, while Celebrity Millennium will offer round-trip sailings from Vancouver.
Guests can explore local cultures, snow-covered mountains, glaciers and coastal communities. Cruises aboard Celebrity Equinox can also be extended with a land-based Cruisetour, including stays in lodges and journeys along remote roads and railways, with stops in Anchorage, Talkeetna and Denali.
For a warmer escape, Celebrity Equinox will offer new round-trip cruises from Los Angeles to Hawaii, combining tropical rainforests, beaches and colourful flora.
Australia and New Zealand
Australia and New Zealand return to the programme with 23 sailings departing from Sydney and Auckland aboard Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Solstice. Itineraries range from four-night escapes to 14-night journeys.
The cruises combine cities and natural landscapes, from Australia’s wine regions to the fjords of New Zealand. South Pacific itineraries aboard Celebrity Solstice will also visit Tauranga in New Zealand, Lifou in the Loyalty Islands and Mystery Island in Vanuatu.
A Full Season in Japan
The renewed Celebrity Solstice will have a particularly significant role in Asia, operating its first full Japan season from April to October 2028.
Guests can explore Tokyo, admire views of Mount Fuji and enjoy overnight stays in Kyoto and Aomori. The itineraries also coincide with major events and festivals, including Golden Week and Gion Matsuri.
Celebrity Millennium will offer spring and autumn cruises, with opportunities to experience Japan’s cherry blossom and hibiscus seasons as well as the colourful autumn foliage known as koyo.
Guests aboard Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Millennium will also have more opportunities to visit Okinawa, with 17 calls scheduled at the tropical destination.
During winter, Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Millennium will sail through Southeast Asia, visiting Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and China. Overnight stays in Bangkok, Phuket, Benoa in Bali, Hanoi, Hong Kong and Penang will give guests additional time to explore.
In Thailand, travellers can visit bustling night markets and experience the local nightlife, while in Hanoi they can watch the sunset over the region’s limestone cliffs. Celebrity Millennium will spend New Year’s Eve overnight in Hong Kong, giving guests the opportunity to welcome 2029 with the city’s famous fireworks.
Antarctica Returns to the Programme
South America will feature an extended season aboard Celebrity Equinox, with 12- to 16-night itineraries covering up to five countries.
The cruises combine the Chilean fjords with Iguazu Falls and Antarctica. In Patagonia, guests can visit penguin colonies, hike through forests and go whale watching.
The itineraries also offer opportunities to discover local cuisine, including Patagonian barbecue, Chilean seafood and ceviche, and Uruguayan dulce de leche. Overnight stays in Valparaiso, Chile, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, provide additional time ashore.
At Cape Horn, where the Atlantic and Pacific oceans meet, cruises pass the glaciers and wildlife of Tierra del Fuego National Park at the southern tip of South America.
A 16-night holiday cruise to Antarctica will also give guests the opportunity to celebrate the New Year surrounded by the landscapes of the southernmost continent.
Bermuda and New England
Celebrity Cruises is also expanding its programme along the US East Coast. In May 2028, Celebrity Summit will offer seven-night cruises from Cape Liberty, New Jersey, to Bermuda, including two overnight stays. Guests can use the additional time to go diving, play golf, visit art galleries or relax on the island’s famous pink-sand beaches.
In September and October, 12-night cruises from Boston will explore Canada and New England, with stops highlighting the region’s lighthouses, fishing villages and autumn colours.
An overnight stay in Quebec City will give guests the chance to explore Old Quebec after dark, when its cobbled streets are illuminated.
With its 2028 and 2029 programme, Celebrity Cruises is combining an expanded European offering with longer seasons and new opportunities across some of the world’s most sought-after cruise destinations — from Scandinavia and Japan to Alaska and Antarctica.
