Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is showcasing its broad portfolio of cruise holidays for 2026 and 2027, with itineraries spanning the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe and the Mexican Riviera, alongside significant new attractions at Great Stirrup Cay, the cruise line’s private island in the Bahamas. The programme combines tropical beach escapes, glacier-filled adventures, Mediterranean discoveries and cultural journeys, giving travellers a wide choice of destinations and experiences aboard some of NCL’s newest and most innovative ships.

Caribbean Cruises Remain a Cornerstone of the Programme
The Caribbean and the Bahamas continue to be among Norwegian Cruise Line’s most popular regions, with departures available from convenient homeports including Miami, Port Canaveral (Orlando), Galveston, New York, New Orleans and Philadelphia. Travellers can choose from short escapes lasting just a few days to week-long itineraries that combine white-sand beaches, colourful island destinations and relaxing days at sea.
Several of the cruise line’s newest vessels play a central role in the Caribbean programme. Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna operate seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean voyages from Miami and Port Canaveral, while Norwegian Viva sails from Galveston to destinations including Cozumel, Costa Maya, Roatán and Harvest Caye in Belize. Guests looking for shorter holidays can also sail aboard Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Joy, both offering four- and five-night cruises to Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay.
Beyond the destinations themselves, these ships feature many of Norwegian Cruise Line’s signature attractions, including the Aqua Slidecoaster aboard Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, combining elements of a roller coaster and waterslide, as well as the racetrack at sea aboard Norwegian Viva.
Great Stirrup Cay Continues Its Major Transformation
One of the cruise line’s biggest investments remains Great Stirrup Cay, its private island in the Bahamas, where an extensive redevelopment programme is introducing new attractions designed to appeal to guests of all ages.
The centrepiece of the expansion is Great Tides Waterpark, scheduled to open on 4 September 2026. Covering almost six acres, the new attraction will feature 19 waterslides, cliff-jumping experiences, the 9,000-square-foot Splash Cay children’s play area and the Wandering River, an almost 800-foot attraction that offers a more energetic interpretation of the traditional lazy river.
Guests visiting the island can also enjoy the recently opened Great Life Lagoon with its expansive swimming pool and two swim-up bars, while younger visitors have access to Splash Harbor, a complimentary splash zone designed especially for children. Those looking for a quieter atmosphere can retreat to the adults-only Vibe Shore Club, while paddleboarding, ziplining and private beachfront cabanas provide additional ways to experience the island.
From Alaska’s Glaciers to Europe’s Historic Coastlines
For travellers seeking spectacular scenery, Norwegian Cruise Line continues to offer seven-night Alaska cruises departing from Seattle aboard Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Joy. These itineraries include ports such as Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway while showcasing glaciers, wildlife and some of North America’s most breathtaking landscapes.
Europe also remains one of Norwegian Cruise Line’s strongest regions, with as many as twelve ships operating seasonal itineraries through 2027. Guests can explore the Mediterranean, the Greek Islands, Northern Europe and the British Isles from embarkation ports including Barcelona, Rome (Civitavecchia), Ravenna, Athens (Piraeus), Lisbon and Southampton, allowing travellers to discover multiple countries during a single holiday without repeatedly packing and unpacking.
Among the highlights is Norwegian Epic, sailing seven-night Mediterranean cruises between Barcelona and Rome with calls throughout Spain, France and Italy. The region is further served by Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Star and Norwegian Sun, offering a variety of itineraries that combine iconic cities with lesser-known coastal destinations.
Mexican Riviera Blends Coastal Scenery with Local Culture
On North America’s west coast, Norwegian Encore continues to operate seven-night roundtrip cruises from Los Angeles along the Mexican Riviera. Calls at Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta combine dramatic Pacific coastlines with opportunities to discover local culture, cuisine and outdoor adventures, while the balance of port days and time at sea offers a relaxed way to explore one of Mexico’s most popular cruise regions.
