Crystal has unveiled a new collection of family-focused and outdoor spaces aboard Crystal Grace, offering the latest glimpse of the brand’s newest ocean ship ahead of her debut in 2028. Designed to enhance life on board for guests of every generation, the new venues combine elegant open-air living with dedicated spaces for children and teenagers, while remaining true to the refined luxury that defines the Crystal experience.
Following the recent unveiling of the first-ever Owner’s Suite and the ship’s three new specialty restaurants, Crystal now reveals how its newest vessel will further elevate outdoor living and multigenerational travel. From Crystal’s largest-ever swimming pool and exclusive private cabanas to dedicated youth facilities, Crystal Grace has been designed to offer more choice, more space and more opportunities to relax, connect and enjoy time together at sea.
A New Outdoor Destination Designed for Families
Located on Deck 11, the dedicated family area has been conceived as a vibrant outdoor destination where younger guests can enjoy the freedom of open-air play while surrounded by spectacular ocean views. The new venue has been carefully designed to balance fun, safety and relaxation, allowing children to play while parents remain close by.
The area will feature a shallow swimming pool, outdoor recreational games and comfortable seating areas where families can spend quality time together in a welcoming environment. Designed to encourage active play and social interaction, the new concept reflects Crystal’s commitment to offering meaningful experiences for younger travellers without compromising the sophisticated design language found throughout the ship.
Rather than creating a traditional children’s area, Crystal has opted for a space that naturally integrates family life into the overall onboard experience, allowing multiple generations to enjoy time together while making the most of the ship’s outdoor environment.
Waves Teen Center Becomes the Largest in the Crystal Fleet
Also located on Deck 11, the all-new Waves Teen Center has been significantly expanded and will become the largest dedicated teen venue across the Crystal fleet.
Reserved exclusively for guests aged 13 to 17, the contemporary space has been designed as a social hub where teenagers can relax, meet new friends and enjoy a wide variety of entertainment throughout the voyage.
The venue features a spacious entertainment lounge with an oversized screen for gaming tournaments, movies and group activities. Separate areas have also been created for card games and board games, while a dedicated music and dance zone includes a professional sound system and dance floor, creating an energetic space for evening entertainment.
During peak family travel periods Crystal will offer a comprehensive daily programme of supervised activities specifically designed for teenagers, giving younger guests their own tailored cruise experience while parents enjoy the ship’s extensive facilities.
Fantasia Children’s Playroom Completely Reimagined
Younger children will enjoy a fully redesigned Fantasia Children’s Playroom, created especially for guests aged three to twelve.
The refreshed venue combines creative workshops, supervised play sessions and educational activities in an engaging environment where children are encouraged to discover, learn and make new friends throughout the voyage.
Crystal’s family-friendly approach also continues to include supervised drop-off programmes for younger children, organised activities for older children and the continuation of the brand’s popular in-suite babysitting service, allowing parents additional flexibility during their cruise.
Every aspect of the redesigned playroom has been created to ensure younger guests feel just as welcome aboard Crystal Grace as adult travellers, reinforcing Crystal’s growing focus on multigenerational luxury travel.
Seahorse Pool Becomes the Largest Pool in the Crystal Fleet
At the heart of the ship’s outdoor spaces lies the new Seahorse Pool, which will become the largest swimming pool across the entire Crystal fleet.
Positioned centrally on Deck 10, the expansive pool deck has been designed as one of the principal gathering places aboard Crystal Grace, inviting guests to swim, relax or simply enjoy uninterrupted views across the ocean.
A total of 140 loungers spread across Decks 10 and 11 provide generous space for sunbathing and relaxation throughout the day.
A large outdoor LED screen will become the focal point of the pool deck, hosting live sporting events, destination presentations, special entertainment and movie nights beneath the stars, ensuring the area remains lively from morning until late evening.
Private Cabanas Introduce a New Level of Outdoor Luxury
One of the most significant innovations aboard Crystal Grace is the introduction of sixty private cabanas on Deck 11, marking a first for Crystal’s ocean fleet.
Each cabana has been designed as an exclusive retreat accommodating two guests while offering elevated views across the Seahorse Pool and the surrounding seascapes.
Designed for privacy and relaxation, the cabanas create peaceful sanctuaries where guests can unwind, enjoy a good book, socialise or simply admire the ever-changing ocean scenery. They will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, giving guests another exclusive option for enjoying the ship’s expansive outdoor spaces.
The newly designed outdoor areas complement the sophisticated interiors of Crystal Grace, which Crystal previously showcased with the unveiling of the first-ever Owner’s Suite and the three new specialty restaurants, creating a seamless connection between indoor elegance and open-air luxury.
A Stylish New Pool Bar Completes the Outdoor Experience
Crystal will also introduce a brand-new pool bar on Deck 10, located midship directly behind the main swimming pool.
Recently announced as a new feature aboard Crystal Serenity following her upcoming refit, the stylish venue will also become a central gathering place aboard Crystal Grace. Designed to transition effortlessly from daytime relaxation to evening cocktails, the bar provides guests with an elegant yet informal setting where they can enjoy refreshing drinks, conversation and panoramic ocean views throughout the day.
Together with the Seahorse Pool, spacious sun decks and private cabanas, the new pool bar further strengthens Crystal Grace‘s focus on outdoor living and open-air hospitality.

Crystal Grace is scheduled for delivery in May 2028 and will embark on her inaugural voyage on 11 June 2028. The eight-night sailing departs from Civitavecchia (Rome) and concludes in Venice, marking the beginning of a new chapter for Crystal’s next generation of luxury cruising.
