Oceania Cruises has announced a strategic restructuring of its international sales leadership. Nathan Hickman steps into the newly created role of Chief Sales Officer, overseeing global sales performance and travel advisor engagement, while industry veteran Steve Odell transitions to a brand ambassador role.

The changes, announced by Hickman, are designed to ensure global alignment while maintaining the local expertise critical to the line’s partnerships. In his new capacity as Chief Sales Officer, Hickman will lead commercial development across all global markets, focusing on strengthening ties with the travel advisor community.
Steve Odell becomes Luxury Group Ambassador
As part of the transition, Steve Odell – who previously oversaw international sales for both Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises – will move into a dual-branded role as Luxury Group Ambassador. Relocating back to Australia, Odell will leverage his extensive global experience to support key partner relationships and represent both brands at a high level.
“Steve’s deep industry expertise, passion for the brands and long-standing industry relationships will remain a significant asset to me personally and to our broader organisation.,” stated Hickman.
Local Continuity
Despite the shift at the top, Oceania Cruises emphasizes continuity for its regional partners. The day-to-day engagement for travel advisors remains under the leadership of the established international sales heads:
- Paul Beale: Vice President, UK & Ireland Sales
- Gabriella Fonzo: Senior Director, Central Europe, Middle East & Africa Sales
- Frank Medina: Vice President, LATAM & Brazil Sales
- Lisa Pile: Vice President, APAC Sales & General Manager
This new structure is intended to combine global consistency with the specialized local support that travel partners rely on.
