Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is bringing back its Free at Sea Promotion. The package, available for all new bookings and sailings beginning November 5, 2025, marks a return to the well-known branding after a brief period featuring the More At Sea package.
The More At Sea program was originally introduced on October 1, 2024, for voyages starting January 1, 2025, as an upgraded evolution of the Free at Sea concept. Now, NCL is reverting to the original name but retaining and simplifying the highly premium features developed during the More At Sea era.
This reinstated Free At Sea package is a fixed, bundled promotion designed to deliver a more effortless and consistent experience. It offers guest-favorite amenities, including the most valuable beverage package at sea, Wi-Fi, dining experiences, and shore excursion credits, valuing well over $2,000 in savings for a standard seven-night sailing according to the cruise line.
Comprehensive Value for a Standard Seven-Night Sailing
For a standard seven-night sailing, the enhanced Free At Sea package includes:
- Unlimited Open Bar: The most valuable beverage package at sea, including an expanded selection of premium spirits (like Grey Goose, Casamigos, and Woodford Reserve) with no drink price cap. Guests also receive 20% off all bottles of champagne or wine.
- Specialty Dining Meals: Three multi-course specialty dining meals for the first and second guest on the reservation.
- High-Speed Wi-Fi: 150 minutes of high-speed internet for every guest in the stateroom, providing dedicated login access and discounts off upgrades to the unlimited Wi-Fi package.
- Shore Excursion Credits: A $50 credit off each shore excursion for the first guest on the reservation, allowing for maximized savings in every port.
- Family Perks: On over 650 select NCL sailings, kids can sail free, and with free airfare for the second guest.
With the new Free At Sea package, guests are responsible for covering gratuities, making it an incredible value that far exceeds land-based offerings, says the cruise line.
Detailed Specialty Dining Inclusions
The specialty dining component is awarded based on the sail length for all guests.

A Specialty Dining Package meal includes up to three appetizers, one main course, and up to three desserts per person. Up to four menu items per person are included in the package at select restaurants like Sushi, Wasabi, Food Republic, and Pincho Tapas Bar. There is no minimum or maximum to the number of meals that can be redeemed in a single day.
Extended Price Comparison
The current package offers significantly enhanced amenities compared to the older “choose two” package. The upgrade fee today is higher, but the value of the bundled inclusions is substantially greater.
