Missed this year’s Oktoberfest? Holland America Line’s got you covered! The cruise line’s 14-day “Scandinavia & Berlin Oktoberfest” cruise, sailing in September 2026 aboard Rotterdam blends the festive spirit of Oktoberfest with a rich cultural journey across Northern Europe.
Departing from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, this immersive itinerary includes stops in Germany, Norway, Denmark, Poland and Latvia, offering guests a chance to explore a tapestry of historic cities and vibrant cultures. Back-to-back calls in Kiel and Warnemunde, Germany, give guests a chance to delve deeper into German culture, including the chance to visit Berlin, Germany, on a shore excursion as they kick off their Oktoberfest celebrations. There, guests can raise a stein, enjoy bratwurst and soak in the lively atmosphere of Germany’s capital.

But the Oktoberfest experience doesn’t end on land. On board Rotterdam, guests will be treated to authentic entertainment, including live local music, themed events, and German-inspired cuisine through Holland America Line’s Destination Dining program, bringing guests Oktoberfest favorites including pretzels and sausages like Weisswurst, Thueringer, Rostocker, Bratwurst and Bockwurst. Guests can also enjoy classic German condiments like sauerkraut and mustards and an array of German beers.

“Oktoberfest is the world’s largest beer celebration, and we’re incredibly proud to bring this iconic festival to our guests onboard. As part of our regional beverage program, we’re committed to ensuring guests enjoy the very best locally inspired drinks no matter where they sail. During Oktoberfest, we feature authentic German brews – including Rostocker, Paulaner, and Warsteiner – so guests can raise a stein and savor the true spirit of Oktoberfest at sea. It’s all about delivering an immersive, unforgettable experience that celebrates both tradition and discovery.” said Drew Foulk, senior manager of beverage operations.
Whether one is a beer enthusiast, history buff or simply looking for a unique way to explore Europe, this cruise offers the perfect blend of celebration and discovery. With the convenience of unpacking once and waking up in a new country nearly every day, it’s a seamless way to experience the best of Northern Europe – with a festive twist.
The cruise is also available in 2027, providing guests another opportunity to experience the festivities with Holland America Line.
